Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1 - Dimapur to Kohima (74 Km 2-3 hrs)
Our representative will transfer you to Kohima from Dimapur Airport. On the way to Kohima, stop at the ?colourful local market.
Day 2 - Kohima – Kigwema - Japfu Base (4-5 Km/ 3 hrs trek)
Pack food and go on a leisurely trek to Mt Japfu. Drive to Pony Farm, Kigwema village and start your trek from the base camp. On the trail, enjoy the view of lush green Jhum Field.
Day 3 - Japfu Base - Japfu Peak - Japfu Base (2 hrs trek)
From Japfu base, trek to Majestic Mountain with packed lunch. On your way, witness the world’s tallest Rhododendron tree, which is 109 feet tall. Trek down to the Japfu base camp after enjoying the view from the hilltop. .
Day 4 - Japfu Base Camp – Kohima (3/4 kms/ 2 hrs trek )
?Trek down to Pony Farm in Kingwema village. Visit beautiful Kigwema Village, Kisama and Jakhama village. Later, drive back to Kohima.
Day 5 - Kohima – Khonoma - Base Camp (25 kms/1hr)
Start your day with a visit to Local Market where organic vegetables, rare eatable insects are sold. Later, visit World War Cemetery and Khonoma village. After a delicious lunch, spend time exploring the village where you will meet local craftsmen, who are specialized in cane basket making, morung, ceremonial gates, ?etc. Later, drive through the Jhum field to reach Seikhakie Base Camp.
Day 6 - Base Camp - Dzukou (6-7 kms/ 3/4 hrs trek)
Proceed for a trek to Dzukou valley. Spot Blyth’s tragopan while trekking through Khonoma Conservation & Tragopan Sanctuary.
Day 7 - Dzukou - Dzulekie (7-8kms/ 3/ 4 hrs trek)
Carry light lunch and trek down towards Dzulekie village. Our representative will drive you to Dzulekie Homestay.
Day 8 - Dzulekie - Benreu (Trek)
Go on a hike from Dzulekie to Poilwa village. Have lunch at Poilwa village and hike further to Benreu village. You also have the option of spending time at leisure in Dzulekie while you take a walk around the picturesque village and later, drive to Benreu village. Overnight stay at the Homestay.
Day 9 - Benreu (optional trek to Mt Pauna)
?Spend a relaxing day exploring the village and enjoying the spectacular view of hills and greenery, or go on an energetic trip to Mt Pauna, which is the third highest mountain in Nagaland. Stay overnight at the homestay.
Day 10 - Benreu - Pedi - Dimapur
Drive through the lush green jungle to a small stream. Go on a steep trek to Pedi Village. Hop into? the vehicles in Pedi Village and drive to Dimapur. Stay overnight at Niathu Resort.
Day 11 - Departure
Thank the land of nature and beauty for giving you insights into? the beautiful inner self and head back to the airport for your onward journey.
